UMCG – Thoraxcentrum

The following procedures are performed in the cardiac catheterization department of the Thoracic Center:

• Coronary angiography (CAG )
• Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI , angioplasty)
• Heart-valve procedures: TAVI and MitraClip
• Implantation of pacemakers and ICDs
• Electrophysiological studies (EPS ) and ablations

Be-Value analysed the processes and information flows involved in initiating and administratively completing these procedures and translated them into an integrated IT solution. The primary goals were to phase out paper-based information flows and optimally combine, integrate, and present medical information to treating physicians while preparing and performing procedures.
