WHO

Jelle de Vries

My name is Jelle de Vries, freelance software engineer and owner of Be-Value.

Over the past 15 years, I have worked as a software architect, (lead) developer, and functional analyst. Object orientation, software principles (SOLID), design patterns, and code and design quality form the core of my experience and craftsmanship. In the software development process, my areas of expertise include architecture design, application lifecycle management (ALM), and establishing the software heartbeat (CI/CD). My primary focus is .NET technology.

The Agile Manifesto is my practical guide.

From a functional and analytical perspective, I strongly focus on conceptual collaboration with the business and translating business requirements into technical solutions. I prefer working in an agile/scrum team with highly skilled and motivated colleagues.

This is how people I have worked with describe me:

“Jelle is a seasoned software consultant, experienced in the roles of software architect, lead developer, software developer, and functional analyst. He has strong software design and development skills, works accurately and in a structured manner, and is highly proficient in object orientation, software principles, and design patterns. He also has strong software architecture skills: he maintains an overview, recognizes patterns in designs, strives for open architectures, and, partly due to his experience as a functional analyst, is able to understand both the client’s vision and the developer’s perspective.”
